Museum of Money ("MoMoney," "we," "us") runs museumofmoney.com (the "Site") and the museum at 501 Elm St, Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75202. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We do not sell personal information.
1. What we collect.
Information you give us. When you contact us about a school visit, private event, corporate booking, or general question, we receive what you send: typically name, email, phone number, message, and event details. When you sign up for our newsletter, we receive your email and signup metadata.
Information from buying tickets. Our ticketing partner handles ticket purchases and processes payment. They may collect your name, contact information, billing address, and payment card details inside their PCI-compliant flow. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically receive technical information when you load a page, including IP address, device and browser signals, request data, and performance metrics. They do not retain the contents of forms you submit.
At the museum. We may collect security camera footage, safety reports, and guest-service notes as needed to operate the museum.
Analytics and advertising. We use product analytics, web analytics, advertising measurement, and search performance tools to understand how the Site is used and how our advertising performs. These tools may collect events, page views, device and browser signals, approximate location from IP address, ad identifiers, and, for advertising attribution, hashed contact identifiers when applicable. See our Cookie Policy for cookie-specific details.
2. How we use information.
We use information to answer inquiries, plan school and private events, process and support ticket purchases, send staff notifications, run our newsletter, keep the Site secure, operate the museum safely, and measure Site and advertising performance where applicable.
3. Who we share it with.
We share information only with service providers that help us operate, in these categories:
- Hosting and infrastructure (delivering and securing the Site)
- Ticketing and payment (processing purchases and bookings)
- Email and inquiry handling (notifying staff, sending newsletters)
- Internal records (private spreadsheets accessible only to museum staff)
- Analytics and advertising (measuring Site and campaign performance)
4. What we do not do.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
5. How long we keep it.
We keep inquiry and event records long enough to respond, plan the requested visit, and meet normal business and tax recordkeeping needs. Ticketing records are retained by our ticketing partner under their retention practices. Security footage and incident notes are kept only as long as needed for safety, operations, or legal reasons.
6. Your privacy rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to opt out of certain uses, or to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise these rights, email us at info@museumofmoney.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some records we are required to keep for legal, financial, or safety reasons.
